Salomea Kempner

She was part of the group gathered by the creator of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. Salomea Kempner, a doctor and psychoanalyst from Płock, was born in 1880 to the family of Mojżesz Hersz and Ella Ruchla nee Margulies. She studied medicine at the universities of Bern, Krakow and Zurich. She obtained the title of doctor of medicine in 1909. Professionally, she was associated with the Cantonal Psychiatric Institute in Rheinau, then with the Psychoanalytical Institute in Berlin. She was a member of the Swiss Psychoanalytical Society and the Vienna Psychoanalytical Society. She died during World War II.
